VC dropping pings after update

    we have almost 1800 AP's at 47 different locations. after firmware update 6.4.2.3-4.1.1.2_48114 yesterday. the VC is dropping pings but the AP's are not. any ideas why i can ping the IP address of AP's and never drop any pings but i drop pings while pinging the IP address of VC? when i drop pings on VC its only usually 10 to 15 secs than back up for a few mins than drop again. could it be this upgrade or something else?
