VRRP change Virtual IP

    Hi gyus,

    i have a problem.

     

    I have configured VRRP with the master redundancy between my two controllers.

    Now i have to change the IP address and VLAN interface of VRRP.

     

    but when i try to change it i receive an error because the virtual IP is the master IP and so i cannot do any change.

     

    can you explain me how i can remove the VRRP so i can reconfigure it?

    You need to disable the master redundancy first. Disable it on the backup, then disable it on the master. You should be able to drop the VRRP after that.

    Hi,

     

    We can not modify the configuration when it is having the dependency. here Master redundancy is depended on VRRP hence you are not able to alter the VRRP configuration.

     

    break the master redundancy from both the controllers.

     

    for ref :

     

    standby : 

     

    master-redundancy

    (config-master-redundancy)#no master-vrrp

    (config-master-redundancy)#no peer-ip-address

     

    Repeat the same on the Master also. now you should be able to change the VIP.

     

    Please feel free for any further help on this.
