    Hello!

During the last 8 days there is a error message showing when database synchronise between 7220 controllers (AOS 6.3.1.3) with master redundancy. According the error description there is something with Internal database sync.

    (Master01) #show database synchronize

Last synchronization time: Wed Mar 19 09:58:01 2014
To Master Switch at 10.1.1.102: *** FAILED ***
WMS Database backup file size: 4348149 bytes
Local User Database backup file size: 2354483 bytes
CPSec Database backup file size: 3219 bytes
Total size of Captive Portal Custom data: 8760 bytes, 3 files
Total size of Captive Portal Custom data last synced: 0 bytes, 0 files
    Synchronization took 127 second
Last failure cause: Standby switch did not acknowledge the local user database transfer

    1395 synchronization attempted
    385 synchronization have failed

Periodic synchronization is enabled and runs every 30 minutes
Synchronization includes Captive Portal Custom data

I'll checked a audit-trail log and for 8 days ago I can see that I deleted some of guest network we have to reduce a number of SSID .

Internal database has a users which used this guest networks.

My question is: Can intenal database become corrupt if the user was logged in while I deleted the guest network?

Should I try export users first and then try to repair internal database on the master controller?

This could happen for a number of different reasons.  You could open a case with support, or look at your audit trail to see if anything has changed in the past 8 days that would contribute to this issue.

    Thanks for reply!

There is nothing in audit-trail log that could be reason to contribute this issue. As I can see so there is nothing more than my logins, no configuration change except that I wrote before about deleting a VirtualAP.

Is that possible to see, somewhare in logs, results or whole procedure of database synchronisation?

Here is more info - from Master02 (standby master)

    Synchronizing database now... Please wait.
Current state is: "WAITING FOR LOCAL USER DATABASE FROM MASTER".

    (Master02) #show database synchronize

Last synchronization time: Fri Mar 21 08:50:00 2014
From Master Switch at 10.1.1.101: *** FAILED ***
WMS Database backup file size: 4232430 bytes
Local User Database backup file size: 2354483 bytes
CPSec Database backup file size: 3219 bytes
Total size of Captive Portal Custom data last synced: 0 bytes, 0 files
    Synchronization took 127 second
Last failure cause: Failed to receive local user database from active Master

    1492 synchronization attempted
    482 synchronization have failed

Periodic synchronization is enabled and runs every 30 minutes
Synchronization includes Captive Portal Custom data

It seems to be InternalDB on Master01 which is a problem.

Is there anyone who can help here or I should really open a case with support?

What you can try is exporting, the local database, then initializing it, and then synching it like you suggested. What version of ArubaOS is this?

    Hi!

    Aruba OS is 6.3.1.3

Ok - I'll try to repair InternalDB.

Management users (like admin etc.) are not affected by doing this, am I right?

Management users are not in the internal database by default.  Make sure that you are logged into another browser at the same time to ensure this is not an issue.

    Hi again!

You've right - management users are NOT in InternalDB.

I did everything I could but there is still a problem with database synchronisation - I guess that is a case for Aruba support.

    Thanks for your help.
