Has anyone experienced VRRP failing over from the master to the backup for no apparent reason in 6.1.2.3?  We are tracking based on VLAN and for some reason, the backup seems to think it now has a higher priority and goes as master.

If you read the release notes for 6.1.2.3, you will see there are known issues with VRRP. They appear to be fixed with 6.1.2.4. Check out the release notes for 6.1.2.4 as well.

woulnd be possible for someone of aruba list all the known bugs somewhere on an sticky tread? that way if smoeone ask for a bug you can just send him there or we wont be even asking we will check that first before posting a tread... TAC will have less job because if people got access of something like that they wont be opening useless cases asking the same over and over from different persons....

We cannot have a sticky for bugs, because it is difficult to respond to multiple issues in a single thread.  Please open a separate thread for each issue.  In this thread there are multiple issues and it is not efficient to address multiple issues with multiple users in a thread.  Kindly open a separate thread for each issue.  The release notes have "known issues" and that is the first place you should consult.

Stemming from what Colin said, I don't think airheads is the place for that. Rather, I have requested Aruba leaders to develop a customer facing BUG database. As I understand it, they are actively tackling this request, as it is a shared desire from all customers. It would be worthwhile mentioning it to your SE. This would allow us all to learn from one another rather than each of us being at the mercy of discovering them on our own.

Do you see your VLAN going up and down?  If it is not trunked to another switch, there are no active local ports on the controller in that VLAN and no users using it, the VLAN may go down/down.  That may be causing the decrement in the priority and VRRP switch (if you have preempt enabled).

You can force a VLAN to stay up using the "operstate up" command under the "interface vlan x" config.
