Virtual controller and AP cannot provisioning

    Hello,

I tested Aruba virtual controller and two AP's (324, 325).

VMC have firmware 8.0.1.1 and 3 AP license.

Flags of AP 324 is UI and I cannot provisioning it. When set provision it, the AP don't reboot. I test provisioning proces via GUI and CLI.

Flags of AP 325 is ID and don't get config from controller.

For both AP I set whitelist ( their MAC), certificats are ok for both AP's.

AP's and controller are in same subnet, so controller discover AP via broadcasting.

Please can you give me some advice for further troubleshooting this problem.

    Thanks.

    Blaz

You need to provision the 324 with gains for the external antennas, otherwise it will not turn on its radio.  That is why it says UI (u=unprovisioned).

The AP325 is ID, which means "dirty or no config", which means it could have a connectivity issue with the controller.

I would type "show log system 50" to get a clue what could be happening...

    Thanks for reply.

When provisioning AP324, I select gain (6dbm) for external antenna but still same problem.

If I disabled CPSEC then AP's came in UP state but Flags are ID or UI.

If I enabled CPSEC then AP's not came up and are in status DOWN.

    Logs show me this:

Reboot Reason: AP rebooted Sat May 6 07:16:29 EET 2017; SAPD: Rebooting after installing trust update. Factory Cert present

Reboot Reason: AP rebooted Wed Dec 31 16:09:09 PST 1969; Unable to set up IPSec tunnel to saved lms, Error:RC_ERROR_CPSEC_DENIED

    Please help.

I deploy 6.4 controller. But 8.0 virtual controller is for me very different.
Can you give me some Link with instruction how to deploy virtual controller 8.0

    Thank,
    Blaz

    Hi,

Please try changing the state to "certified-factory-cert" & Cert-type to "factory-cert"  for both AP's in the CPSEC whitelist & see if that makes a difference.
