Virtualization

Hi

Today a costumer asks me why Aruba don't have AOS for a virtual appliance (ESXi).?

Is there any reason for this, I need some solid arguments (Hardware, security or something else) and really I don't have a good idea about that..

I hope someone can help me.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Virtualization

An Aruba Controller is purpose-built hardware AND software.  An ESX box does not have the hardware necessary.

Other manufacturers have this setup and that is manufacturer-specific.  ArubaOS is not built to run on ESX.
