Visual RF orientation and Beamwidth

Hello Everyone

Im doing a simulation in visual RF with AP 175P

Now im wondering if im doing it properly

We are selecting omnidirectional antenas a Pair of 5 DB for 2.4ghz and a pair of 10DB for 5ghz.

In the propierties as its omnidirectional i should put in the orientation 0 and beamwidth 360?  i guess on the gain part i just put the values of the antenas im using....

Cheers

Carlos

I'll have someone look into this and get back to you.

Re: Visual RF orientation and Beamwidth

The beamwidth should definitely be 360.  The orientation could be 0 or anything else.

Re: Visual RF orientation and Beamwidth

Another question

if i use a antenna of 180 degreess then the beamwith should be 180

And what about the orientation ? i guess the orientation should be where to i want to point tha irradiation could be in front or in the back or something like that?

Re: Visual RF orientation and Beamwidth

If you're using a 180degree patch, it generally has a direction in which it claims to send the beam.

Set the direction in VisualRF in the same direction you aim the patch.
