Vlan Pooling Problem

Hello,

I created multiple vlans into our controller together with the subinterface static ips appropriate with these vlans. I added these vlans using their vlan IDs into the vlan pool. I went and setup our SSID profile to use the vlan pool name that I created. However, this is not working. It will only work if I go back to only 1 vlan instead of using a vlan pool. Any ideas? I tried to connect to our network using the vlan pool in our SSID and it failed. I went ahead and set the vlan in the SSID as the vlan that I recently created and it failed as well. It is only working for the old VLAN that was setup. Do you guys think it is the external DHCP server?

Vlan Pooling Problem

Are those VLANs even on a trunk?  Is there a helper-address on the VLAN interface pointing to a DHCP server?

Re: Vlan Pooling Problem

Hope this helps:

Here is an example :

vlan-name test1 pool

vlan test1 10-15

vlan-name test2 pool

vlan test2 16-21

interface vlan 10

ip address 10.x.x.x 255..x.x.x

Make sure those VLANs are allowed on the trunks / port-channel back to the uplink switch

interface gigabitethernet 1/0
description "GE1/0"
trusted vlan 10-21
switchport mode trunk
switchport trunk allowed vlan 10-21

And then apply those to the VAP

wlan virtual-ap "office"
vlan test1

Thank you

Re: Vlan Pooling Problem

interface gigabitethernet  1/8
        description "GE1/8"
        trusted
        trusted vlan 10,20,53,200,999
        switchport mode trunk
        switchport trunk allowed vlan 10,20,53,200,999
