WAP troubles

     I have an Aruba "mini" WAP that seems to be working great wirelessly (although it occasionally goes to sleep and falls off network/rebooting wakes it up again) but if I plug my laptop in as a wired port it won't connect....do I need to configure the port separately?

     The WAP is orange/white in color...I don't know the model # offhand....

     

    Any help would be appreciated!

    You should probably ask the person who configured the mini wap....

    That sounds like a RAP. If it's configured as a remote access point only the person who configured it and has access to the wireless controller can make changes to the wired port. Some disable them on purpose.
