Does anyone have experience operating an Aruba WLAN and a Philips WMTS telemetry system at the same time? My customer is experiencing significant dropping of voice calls on 802.11a when the Philips WMTS system is powered on.

Is this the same product here: http://www.healthcare.philips.com/us_en/products/patient_monitoring/products/telemetry/ ? If not, in what range does it operate? If it is not in the 5ghz band, it *should* not interfere.

What VOIP phones does the customer have?

Yes, it is the 1.4GHz system. Should we be concerned with the third harmonic causing noice at 5GHz?

I do not know about the third harmonic. If you have a spectrum analyzer, you could certainly put the issue to rest. With regards to the phones specifically, however, you can look at the Aruba Guide to Roaming devices to get parameters to optimize your phones so that they work their best here: http://www.arubanetworks.com/pdf/technology/DG_Roaming.pdf

It could be something besides the Telemetry system.
