    Hi Guys,

    Good morning,

    2015-12-15_07-20-27.jpg

Only more memory ? But same capabilities? So why to deploy 7240XM instead 7240?

When 7240 isn't enough and 7240XM needed? - Please give couple of examples .

    Thanks in advance,

    Me

This is a serious question, why is no aruba engineer answering this question?  The datasheets do not elaborate any difference at all.   Can somone please answer this question.  Thank you in advance for a quality answer.  ;)

I am sure that if you reach out to your Aruba SE or partner, you will get an answer. You may not necessarily get one on this forum

Just to throw one more datapoint in the mix - I had a pair of 7240 locals running around 1200 APs.  On 6.4 code, they were around 40% to 50% memory utilization.

After upgrading to 8.1, though, they shot up to > 90%.  I took immediate advantage of the trade in/upgrade option, and the additional memory in the XM model put me back under 50% again.
