Why cant I set the port to access vlan 1?

I have the follwoing configuration:

interface gigabitethernet 1/2
        description "TGSwitch"
        trusted
        trusted vlan 1-4094
        switchport trunk allowed vlan 1

I am trying to set port 1/2 as follows:

interface gigabitethernet 1/2
        description "TGSwitch"
        trusted
        trusted vlan 1-4094
        switchport access vlan 1

However it wont let me? Why?

Re: Why cant I set the port to access vlan 1?

What do you mean by it won't let you, do you see an error message or some sort? Are you making the changes via the GUI or CLI with an account that has the correct permissions? The configuration of the interface looks fine, have you defined vlan 1 on the controller? Is the vlan shut down?

The below commands might give you some clues..

show vlan
show vlan status
show port status

ACMP, ACSA, ACDX #985

Re: Why cant I set the port to access vlan 1?

Thank you so much for your help.

I am trying from CLI (logged in as admin) with no errors printed out. If I try and change it from CLI it throws an error that xsec must be 16 bits. I have written that down on another discussion.

Here is the vlan and port status and it looks ok to me...

Re: Why cant I set the port to access vlan 1?

That is odd, what controller model is this and what ArubaOS version are you running? I'm assuming there is no xsec license installed? Is this a new problem?

Is there any errors when you run the following?

show profile-errors

ACMP, ACSA, ACDX #985
