Will Aruba AP's locally switch common SSiD traffic?  For example,  can the local voice traffic switch at the AP if both clients are associated to the same AP? Or will this traffic tunnel all the way back to the controller?

    Cheers,

    David

You can put the SSID into split-tunnel mode and create firewall policies to bridge certain traffic locally.

Ever heard of anyone doing this for voice traffic?

I've never deployed locally switched APs (or split-tunnel) in a campus environment, only tunneled. Voice works great when you configure everything correctly (QoS markings, media classification, etc).
