XSEC Point-to-Point

    I have two 800 Aruba switches that are using (xsec point-to-point). I entered the correct MAC address from each other's end. 

     

     

    Switch1-00:0b:86:50:f6:31

    Interface fastethernet 1/1

    Description "Link-to-Switch-2"

    Trusted

    No poe

    Xsec vlan 4091 

    Xsec point-to-point 00:0b:86:50:ff:11 key allowed vlan 201,3001,4091

     

     

     

    Switch2-00:0b:86:50:ff:11

    Interface fastethernet 1/0

    Description "Link-to-Switch-1"

    Trusted

    No poe

    Xsec vlan 4091 

    Xsec point-to-point 00:0b:86:50:f6:31 key allowed vlan 201,3001,4091

     

     

    Shouldn't this configuration work?

    Nope. The configuration below will work between two controllers.

     

    Switch1-00:0b:86:50:f6:31

    Interface fastethernet 1/1

    Description "Link-to-Switch-2"

    Trusted

    No poe

    Switchport vlan 1202 (switch vlan)

    Xsec vlan 4091 

    Xsec point-to-point 00:0b:86:50:ff:11 key allowed vlan 201,3001

     

     

     

    Switch2-00:0b:86:50:ff:11

    Interface fastethernet 1/0

    Description "Link-to-Switch-1"

    Trusted

    No poe

    Switchport VLAN 1202 (switch Vlan)

    Xsec vlan 4091 

    Xsec point-to-point 00:0b:86:50:f6:31 key allowed vlan 201,3001
