Xray & Wifi

    we will cover Hospital that has Xray devices @ some location with Aruba ... people told me Xray will cause interference , is this right ?

    hi,

     

    X-Ray is electromagnetic radiation.

    its in the 0.01 to 10 nm wavelenght.

    dont think it will be an issue.

     

    The machine itself could interfere, but not much.

    Hospitla Guys told me that another Wifi vendor told them WIFI solution will not be possible as Xray will interfer ?

    The biggest issue with X-ray rooms is that they have a lot of shielding to protect users outside the room from electromangetic radiation.  That means if you have an access point outside of the room, very little RF can get into a space that is shielded.
