can you limit the number of users to an AP

hello,

do you know if there is any way that that we can control the number of users connecting to an AP? Customer is looking for a max of 45 users on anyone AP.

Re: can you limit the number of users to an AP

you can somewhat control this via the "max associations" parameter on the ssid profile, but it gets a bit vague if you have multiple virtual APs since its per ssid

thanks for the reply. can this be done statically instead of via SSID?

It even goes a bit further as this metric is per ssid per radio!

I am not familiar with any way to limit the number of users per AP.

But rather than focusing on this, I would try and figure out what your customer is actualy trying to do.Why would he want to limit the max number of clients connected to an AP?

It seems to me he is trying to achieve something that has much better solutions other than limiting the number of users to an AP.
