dhcpdwrap[1839]: <202513>

    Hi,

           I recently configured a new SSID for 802.1x with wpa2-AES and have intermittent connectivity issues across the premises. Enabled the network log and my logs are flooded with similar messages below.

     

    Jan 30 16:16:24  dhcpdwrap[1839]: <202513> <DBUG> |dhcpdwrap| |dhcp| Could not find interface and/or vlan for ip=192.168.5.155, could be reply to mobility message.

     

    May the cause for the message and will this be the root cause for the intermittent root cause issues.

    Are you using the Aruba Controller to provide DHCP?

    yes I am using the DHCP on the controller.

    Please find the dhcp pool configured for the SSID ,

     

    ip dhcp pool GCC_Secure
     default-router 192.168.1.254
     dns-server 24.97.221.139 199.29.211.1
     lease 0 3 0 0
     network 192.168.0.0 255.255.252.0
     authoritative

    What is the output of show ip dhcp statistics?

    It is not recommended to have more than 512 addresses on the internal dhcp server. More than that and an external dhcp server is required.

    May i know what the error or log message meant for? Is this will create intermittent connectivity issues, that is an user has to try three to four times before he gets connected . this issue is seen randomly.

    The truth is that the internal DHCP server is not meant to serve anything more than a small guest network.  You should use an external DHCP server for better performance and to ensure you do not have any interruptions.  The DHCP daemon simply does not run at a high priority in the controller and that will not change any time soon.

     

    Get that external DHCP server as soon as possible.
