iOS 7 and 8 unable to Join the Network

Hi community,

We recently noticed that when iOS 7 or 8 clients connect, they are getting  "Unable to Join the Network". These clients has to attempt twice or thrice before they can connect successfully.

Anyone encountered this issue?

Thanks

Oliver

Re: iOS 7 and 8 unable to Join the Network

What version of AOS are you using ?

Can you try resetting the network settings ?

Does it happens also for an open SSID ?

You should consider opening a TAC case too
Thank you

Re: iOS 7 and 8 unable to Join the Network

Hi,

We are using aos 6.1. And yes it happens even with open ssid. A TAC case is opened and they are still investigating.

I was hoping someone might have encountered the issue and can tell me the possible solution.

Thanks

Re: iOS 7 and 8 unable to Join the Network

I realize that this post is of much help, but we have experienced this issue in our environment where a couple users are unable to connect to our open network (captive portal with a TOS page where they click agree to terms).

But they are able to connect to our private network with 802.1x

Devices that cannot connect are iPhone 4s running iOS 8.0 (12A365)

Any further updates on this? We are having the same issue as folks upgrade to iOS 8.

Re: iOS 7 and 8 unable to Join the Network

I've had to do the following on a couple of phones:

Settings > General > Reset > "Reset Network Settings"

Definiteion not Apple's best release in terms of wifi support. I haven't had a problem on 10.9.x and on 10.10 - but iOS 8 has been real problematic.

Hope it helps!
