Wireless Access

Hi I have just bought an Aruba 3400 controller and I need to buy the licences for the APs I have spoken to a re-seller and they are saying they need the serial numbers of the access points that the licences will be assigned to, is this correct or do they just need the serial number of the controller?

The controller serial.  It found by doing a 'show inventory'.  If you have physical access to the controller, there will be a sticker with the serial as well.

Thank you Michael I thought it was strange when they asked for the AP serial numbers

for support of the APs they would need those serials.

To add to Michael's comments.  You do not have to give the reseller any serial numbers technically.    Assigning a license certificate to a controller is the responsiblity of the customer, not the reseller or even Aruba.
