Is the hyphen in the MAC delimiting the cmd? (User/pass have to match device MAC format) Airheads has plenty of advice for adding guest users, but I couldn’t find anything for specifying role, and the support page for the local-userdb add doesn’t give a syntax example with role either.

    local-userdb-add username XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX password XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX role VOIP-PHONE

What bit of syntax am I missing?

    >From the user guide:
You must enter the MAC address using the delimiter format configured in the MAC authentication profile. The default delimiter is none, which means that MAC addresses should be in the format xxxxxxxxxxxx. If you specify colons for the delimiter, you can enter MAC addresses in the format xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx.
