obtaining the new HPE serial number for Aruba controller

Hello experts ,

since HPE has taken over Aruba , so the controllers that i have in the existing environment would have new HPE serial numbers ?

i would have to renew the contract for the 7010 aruba controllers that i have in my existing network , and HPE is asking for some new HPE serial numbers which i dont have .   the serial number just contains 9 digits and they require a 10 digit serial number.

could somebody help please ?

all i have is below serial numbers

UAM-BRLO1-MB00MDF-WC01) #show inventory

Supervisor Card slot : 0
System Serial# : CG0015533 (Date:08/07/16)
CPU Card Serial# : AG32017319 (Date:08/06/16)
CPU Card Assembly# : 2010184C
CPU Card Revision : (Rev:14.00)

Re: obtaining the new HPE serial number for Aruba controller

That doesn't make sense. Just checked a few serials on controllers I've been working on recently and they're 9 characters long.
Cheers
James

Re: obtaining the new HPE serial number for Aruba controller

New Aruba products will have serial numbers in the 10 digit HPE format, while older ones use the9-digit Aruba format.

Serial numbers are permanently associated with the product, and cannot be changed.
