optimization of multicast

    Hi All,

       

    We have situation saying online streaming is very Slow like youtube etc.  please let the best options to correct it.

     

    We have currently  enabled drop broadcast and multicast enabled on VAP? Should we disable it ?

     

    Should we enable Dyanmic multicast optimization on VAP?

     

     

    Should we enable BC/MC optimatization on the Vlan interfaces?

     

    Do we enable the IGMP proxy or Snooping?

     

     

    May i know above all options if there is a good combination which may suit us?

    Online streaming generally doesn't use multicast. Have you confirmed that performance is acceptable on your withes network?

    Thank you for the information. Gr8 to know Multicast will not come to picture with respect online streaming.  Major people use youtube always and  other things in network are ok may not be good. will check on that.
