    Hy all,

I'm quite new to arubanetworks devices, i have bought 2 AP93 which are working quite right.

i've started to take a closer loook to vlan dynamic assignment and the documentation i have is not related to the AP itself, but it always talks about the controller.

I've downloaded arubaOS documentation, but it always refer to controller which i didn't bought,

so i wanted to know where can i find specific APs OS documentation (if it exists) ?

especially regarding vlan assignment attributes, which (as far as i have seen) are not documented in the arubaOS pdf .

    Thanks for your help,

    Regards,

    Xinity

if your access points can run without a controller, they are IAPs, or Aruba Instant APs.  The documentation is here:  http://support.arubanetworks.com/DOCUMENTATION/tabid/77/DMXModule/512/Default.aspx?EntryId=5808

    thanks for your quick answer,

it sems i failed in identifying IAPs from APs, mine are AP93 or so it is written on them.

    did i miss something ?

Look on the BACK of your access point.  The only difference is that there will be a barcode that says IAP-105-XX or IP-93-xx.  Besides that, the software inside is different.

    Back online,

    I've check my APs, i have a a barcode which says: IAP-93

i guess it is an IAP-93 which if i am correct is "more feature built" than an AP ?

That means it has "Virtual Controller" technology.   It can also be converted to a regular AP.  More information is here:  http://www.arubanetworks.com/solutions/instant-wlan/
