rap3wn converts to rap but the wireless does not come up

    Hi,

     

    We are using 650 controller in central office and RAP-3WN is used as RAP device to connect branch office. Our branch office are connected via three type of connectivity medium viz., wired broadband, internet leased line and MPLS network.

     

    wired broadband and internet leased line are working fine. We are experiencing the following problem while connecting to our MPLS network. it gets converted to RAP but after rebooting it does not stabilise. It keeps on rebooting. We are unable to ping to the ip address given to the rap device thereon.

     

    kindly guide how to troubleshoot the same.

    does the default ap-group contain ap-system profile with LMS and back LMS in the controller ? if so..check if it's contain internal address..if it's contatin internal address < that your issue.

     

    Are u able to see this RAP under configuration > ap installison in any stage? even for a few sec? with any flags?

     No the rap is not seen in the ap installation at any stage.

    Check your rap whitelist

    check you VPN settings (dhcp pool) + l2tp

     

    if the conversation process has been done - there is a connectivity between your rap to the controller.
