    is there a command on aruba controller to re-name an ap which has joined the controller using a duplicate name ?

     

    please help.

    You should type "show ap database long" to see the wired mac address of the AP you want to rename.

    Next, you should use the ap-rename function, referencing the mac address of that AP:

     

    (Aruba7005-US) #ap-rename wired-mac de:de:de:de:de:de ?
    <new-name>              AP's new name
