- Update client drivers
- ensure you have the proper WLAN density (VOIP handsets have their requirements stated)
- Ensure the access points are at the correct power (VOIP handsets have their requirements stated)
- Use an Aruba controller/access point which will optimize the WLAN for VOIP
Pings are usually sent at "best effort" rates, so where a device will drop a ping there are applications like web and email that would retransmit and recover from loss of connectivity effectively.
