Monitoring Instant APs using third party SNMP server

Q:

Is it possible to monitor the Instant AP using third party SNMP server?

A:

When Instant APs are monitoring using third SNMP server, Instant APs doesn't completely support it.

Example: We would be able get the VC information but doesn't provide information about Slave IAPs or clients connected it.

Currently, Aruba Airwave platform only fully supports managing / monitoring the Instant APs.

We use a in-house developed tool to monitor our IAP clusters.
Using SNMP Walk (look for OID 1.3.6.1.4.1.14823.2.3.3.1.2.1.1.1) we can at least see if the number of IAP in each cluster is correct.

When 1 AP fails, then we get a notification that an IAP is missing, but then we still need to logon into the cluster to see which IAP is missing.
