Hello - trying to decide on a 555 or 535. Do both of these support uplink and downlink MIMO? We're using 8.6.0 today.

Is this a feature that will be added?

    TY,

    Sue

Yes, UL-MU-MIMO is on the roadmap to be added in an upcoming software release on both of these platforms (they share the same HW chipset and architecture).

For more roadmap details, please work with your Aruba account team; can't comment on that in a public forum..

According to the current datasheet of AP-555 and AP-535 Upload MU-MIMO is already available, so I assume it is support in ArubaOS 8.7.1, right?

Actually, while these platforms are capable to support it, UL-MU-MIMO will not be enabled until 8.8.

If it is not supported right now, you should change the datasheet, because that information is not correct:

    "Bi-directional Multi-user MIMO (MU-MIMO)
Similar to downlink MU-MIMO in Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac Wave 2), the 530 Series can simultaneously connect clients use downlink – and now – uplink spatial streams. The added benefit is the ability to multiply the number of clients that can now send traffic, thus optimizing client-to-AP spatial stream diversity."
