I'm currently using Airwave en GUI based management for IAP's. 

 

Unfortunatly I get a mismatch

Change to VC configuration:	 
wlan captive-portal 	 
 banner-text "Welcome to Guest Network" 	 
 terms-of-use "This network is not secure, and use is at your own risk" 	 
 use-policy "Please read terms and conditions before using Guest Network" 	 

AirWave version 8.2.8.1

IAP 6.5.4.10

 

Does anyone know how to solve this?

I worked it out!!! Stupid HTML GUI is hard coded to send that internal captive portal setup the second you configure anything to do with captive portal. Even external captive portal.

But if you are using external captive portal, you never turn on the internal one. Why would you?

But the Instant is rejecting the internal captive portal config options if it is not turned on.

Go turn on your internal captive portal (even tough you don’t use it) and the config will push through perfectly!

So much time wasted because they don’t do robust regression testing. :(

This customer didn't use the captive portal. Not the internal one or the external one. So why it showed no one knows.

 

Anyhow Aruba TAC solved my issue with a remote session in which they changed some settings on the internal captive portal. They replaced the default texts by a dot (.) and maybe they enabled it. Don't know for sure.

Well atleast our mismatches are gone,

I known its a old topic but today i spend a lot of time into the same issue in Airwave 8.2.12.0. After add an SSID with captive-portal for testing purpose i remove the SSID again and end-up in this "mismatch" issue. After editing the local captive-portal setting by enter a dot in the textfield the problem was solved. Thanks for sharing Rens!
