Controllerless Networks

Hi Folks

 

I have recently inherited an Aruba AP wireless setup.

I have never used Aruba AP's before

 

I have 9 AP's in the building but every now and again some users cannot connect to the SSID's but the AP's can be pinged and are online.

Any help is much appriciated. please see below for the config

Do you see any pattern on the disconnects?

Is it any specific type of client/hardware?

 

Can you post your SSID configuration?

I can't see any pattern.

What is the exact firmware version installed on the cluster?

What are the types of devices / OS affected ?

 

They are Windows 10 Laptops

Here's what I reccomend...

 

1.  Disable HIGH EFFICIENCY on the SSID

 

Your settings on the radios appear to be good, no changes required.

 

Check with the laptop vendor for any updated wireless drivers.

 

2.  If the disconnects are still occuring, check for a firmware upgrade on the AP's.

 

If all else fails, you're going to have to contact TAC to open a case.

I have disabled High Efficiency and will reply with the results in a few days. Having read up on it, it looks like it could be the cause of the issue.

Hi, 

Wouldn't disabling the High Efficiency also remove 802.11AX as well?

Me too are facing performance issue with AP 505, though the purpose of customer buying 505 is for AX, but there are just too many people getting it fix by disabling this. :/
