We have an IAP205 network (5 antenna).

We need to add an outdoor antena, Is the AP17 compatible?

     - I have also seen that the IAP205 is not for sale anymore, can you point with a compatible product if we want to enlarge our network?

Have a nice day and thanks a lot !

Unfortunately no. The AP 17 is an Aruba InstantON ap. They can not be configured to be part of an Instant AP cluster. They would have to operate as two separate systems.

The AP-505 would be a comparable upgrade now that the 3xx series are no longer available.

Thanks a lot for your answer.

So, for indoor expansion, I can use AP-505. OR any AP-3xx compatible with the minimal Aruba OS version.

For Outdoor extension, do you have any advice (compatibility with a current network is preferred).

      - The zone is a "60-meter x 50meter" without any obstacles. But current antenna (IAP 205 are not able to pass through the wall until the end of the zone)

      -  I see that we can probably use the 270 or 360 outdoor series.

If I understand well, I need to check the minimum OS version and that it is not an InstantON.

    Have a nice day,
