IAP 335 not completing boot cycle

  • 1.  IAP 335 not completing boot cycle

    Posted Jan 14, 2021 12:29 PM
    Hi There,

I have 5 brand new IAP 335s that do not appear to be completing the boot process. I have unboxed them, and plugged them into my switch (one at a time). If I understand correctly, when bringing up a new AP, it should complete its boot cycle and the light should alternate green/amber, at which point it is discoverable via instant on. Well out of 5 APs, none of them ever get to the green/amber indicator. I have left each one connected for a couple of hours (a few times over night), before disconnecting it and connecting another one.

Given that this is happening with all 5 of them, I am assuming that I am doing something wrong, but don't know what. I have connected a console cable but nothing is really jumping out at me, although I have no idea what I should be looking for. There are not any other APs on this network, so version mismatch should not be an issue, but again, I dunno.

Any help for this clueless newbie is greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Here's the boot process:

Just to confirm, these are connected using eth0 and not eth1?

Ethernet uplink eth0 not active yet

Also, is DHCP available to the IAPs? Just trying bringing up a single AP before the rest. It reads to me that eth0 is not available to the AP is becoming a mesh point, have you tried a factory reset of the APs as well?

skip backup uplink detect, as not dual uplink or no bonding
No uplink active. Becoming Mesh Point
Factory default ap without uplink, it will become a point.
