Hey there! I'm in the discovery phase of replacing my home Ruckus network with Aruba and need some help. I'm looking at the AP-225 APs which can be had really cheap online but require a controller. I found the S1500-24P for a pretty fair price as well and am wondering if this has the controller software to be compatible with these APs?

Another thought: Would I be able to connect an IAP-225 to my network and then connect multiple AP-225 APs into that one since the ISP model has a controller built-in?

The IAP models cost double the AP models and I'm trying to do this replacement affordably.

    Thanks!

The S1500-24P can not act as a controller. If you only have AP-225s and not IAP-225s then you will definetly need a controller, or virtual controller to manage them.

AP-225s can not join a cluster of IAP-225s.
