    Regarding performance all current Aruba outdoor access points are inferior to Aruba´s indoor access points.

    Outdoor access points:
    2.4 GHz: 2x2:2 MU-MIMO
    5.0 GHz: 4x4:4 MU-MIMO

    indoor access points:
    2.4 GHz: 4x4:4 MU-MIMO
    5.0 GHz: 4x4:4 MU-MIMO or 8x8:8 MU-MIMO

    Please reach out to your local Aruba team, as in outdoor environments the benefits of MIMO are not that big as for indoor. MIMO uses reflections, like walls, ceiling, floors to allow multiple streams. In outdoor environments, you typically don't have these reflections, and at distance, the benefits become less as well.

    In most cases having an Outdoor AP, with better antennas will give you better performance outdoors. Also, the reliability and the ease/cost of mounting is better with outdoor APs over indoor AP in an enclosure.

    There can be good reasons to go for an enclosure, I don't think the number of streams is the best one from a technical standpoint. But this is just an opinion.

    Well, for a medium sized half roofed terrace I´d prefer AP-535 or AP-555.

    - AP-535 / AP-535 have "more power"
    => bigger amount of maximum numbers of Resource Units (OFDMA)) => newer chipset?
    => offers UL-MU-MIMO => newer chipset?
    => offers more antennas (MU-MIMO)
    => bigger "Practical maximum client count indication (per radio)"

    All current outdoor access points look a bit "antiquated" compared to AP-535 and AP-555 particularly as AP-535/AP-555 were released in 2019
