Yes use static, and make sure that VLAN is trunked to the AP. You can override the VLAN later if needed with RADIUS or by the role assignments.

Subject: VLAN Assignment for new Network
Hello All,
We are using W-AP205's in our network. I want to add a new wireless network for users in which the IP range is defined in DHCP on our domain controller. I defined the VLAN ID on our L3 switch. In the Instant GUI, I chose "Network Assigned" for the Client IP Assignment. I have some questions about the "Client VLAN Assignment" setting though. I see Default, Static, and Dynamic as options. If I want the new wireless network to use the network defined in DHCP on our domain controller and recently added to our L3 switch, would I use "Static" as the option and choose the VLAN ID that I defined on the L3 switch? Please let me know at your convenience.
Thank you,
Brian
