There is no specific setting in Instant for attenuation in your environment. You should work the other way around, and design the location of your APs to the physical environment, where you should strive to put the APs as close as possible to the users. If you put them behind thick walls or other RF-blockers, you are likely to get a poor experience. The classical example is the 'hallway deployment'; where APs are placed in the hallways, but coverage is needed in the adjacent rooms. That has a lot of issues and the approach is unlikely to have a good performing network.
It's always good to create a proper design before you deploy your APs, and depending on the characteristics of your site, that can be a simple predictive design, or you should use the tools mentioned above to actually measure the signal strengths (like with an AP-on-a-stick survey). Your Aruba partner should be able to advise specifically for your environment; it's hard to give proper advice without knowing the environment.
