    Yo!

I've got an AP which isn't joining the cluster on the same L2 segment. There are other APs on the same switch. The AP has acquired an IP address from the right range and I'm able to ping and get to the cli.

When I ssh to the AP and enter the serial number as the admin password I get the following:

I've bounced PoE on the port a couple of times but I'm getting the same result each time. I'm reluctant to keep trying the same thing and expecting different results as I'm pretty sure that's a sign of madness! :)

    Ideas?

    Cheers

FYI the switch port configs that the APs are patched into are identical.

I'll swap the AP out tomorrow and see what occurs.

Was the AP purchased through Aruba/Aruba Partner or sold grey market (possibly owned before you) ? See anything from the console?

Bought from an Aruba Partner and all boxed up. It appears to be coming up factory reset as the admin password is the serial number and I'm asked to reset it when attempting to login.

I don't have console access. Not even sure what console cable I'd need tbh. I stopped getting console leads when they started going bespoke. There's only so many leads someone can carry!

It's about time for USB C console ports for everything isn't it.

Depends on the AP model number, but these are usually special cables and not a standard RJ-45 rollover or Micro-USB. I hate that they change it with each generation it seems lol.
