    Hello Airheads Community!

    First time in this forum so please bear with me.

    Hoping some of you can share some thoughts on this. I manage an OAW 4550 controller that was configured with MAC address filtering on a WiFi profile. Needless to say, being this a manual process (MAC address requested from user> added to DHCP server filter > key phrase provided > device connects) it is cumbersome, prone to errors, and time-consuming for both users and IT. I'd really like to disable this feature and leave it so only the key phrase is required. Thank you in advance for you input.

    Here is how the WLAN is constructed:

     

    AP-Group

        Virtual AP

              SSID Profile  - How an SSID is broadcast

              AAA Profile   - How authentication occurs on the WLAN.

     

    The AAA profile has a mac authentication profile.  Set the mac authentication profile to N/A in the AAA profile and it will stop checking mac addresses.

    Thank much you again for your time to respond, and apologies for my delayed update. I just had the opportunity to do what you recommended and this worked. Also, I disabled the  "Enabled Allow List" under MAC Filters in the DHCP IPv4 range.

    We need your help with a controller 7005 how to configured with MAC address filtering on a WiFi profile.
