*On Aruba CX just enable your routing protocol or static routing and routing will be on. You will still need to tailor your configuration depending on routing method you use i.e OSPF v static
*At an interface level you can have L2 port or L3 port (Routing On Port) i.e the actual interface has an IP address.
* To make a port Layer 3 interface has the keyword "routing"
* To make a port Layer 2 interface has the keyword " no routing"
* You also have the option to create SVI which can have a IP address and associate the appropriate VLAN and apply routing decision this way. Thus you can use your L2 no routing to carry routing over he SVI/L2 VLAN combination. Similar to how you may have used your 5412.
The 6400 interfaces are set to layer 2 by default with keyword "no routing". This is not related to not having routing at the device level.
Hope this helps

Subject: OS CX version of "ip routing" command
I am moving from a HP Procurve 5412zl to a new aruba 6400. on the old switch we are running ip routing. I seem to be missing exactly how you setup or enable ip routing on on the 6400. Does every interface need to have routing enabled?
