Aruba switches 2540 provisioning fails

    Hi,

    I am trying to add 4 of my switches into aruba central but it is saying always "Either MAC Address or Serial number is incorrect". I have added the subscription key but as mentioned the device adding is failing. When I check on the switches I can ping f.ex. google.com.

    show activate provision is saying this:

    Aruba-2540-24G-PoEP-4SFPP# show activate provision

    Configuration and Status - Activate Provision Service

    Activate Provision Service : Enabled
    Activate Server Address : devices-v2.arubanetworks.com
    Activation Key : Not Available
    Time Sync Status : Time sync from NTP pool
    Activate DNS Lookup : Success
    Proxy Server DNS Lookup : NA
    Activate Connection Status : Failure
    Error Reason : Activate provision has failed because of
    invalid response received from server with status code : fail-prov-no-device

    Aruba-2540-24G-PoEP-4SFPP# show aruba-central

    Configuration and Status - Aruba Central

    Server URL : None
    Connected : No
    Mode : NA
    Last Disconnect Time : NA
    Server DNS Lookup : NA
    Proxy Server DNS Lookup : NA
    Error Reason : NA

    Can anyone help to troubleshoot this?

    Hi

    If you Configure Switches Before add them to Aruba Central then you have to type 

    Switch(config)# activate provision enable 
    Switch(config)# activate provision force

    The problem was something else. The switches were not connected to our MSP activate and thus were failing to join on our tenant. After contacting the aruba support they activated these switches and the problem was solved.
