    Hi Everyone,

    We are planning to use Distributed Trunking on two aruba switches. One switch is Aruba 5406zl and the other is 5412zl.

    The question is;
    1. Will it work even if they have different software version(K.16.02.0018 and K.16.02.0022m )?
    2. Will it work even if they have different model version(switch one is 5412zl, switch two is 5406zl)

    Hi GSM (CesarPin),

    1. All DT linked switches must be running the same software version (so if your switches both run K.16.02 it should be OK even if the build version 0018 and 0022m are different).
    2. There isn't any restriction about the Switch models you will use, providing that both models support the same DT features and run the same HP ProVision OS / ArubaOS-Switch software version as per (1).

    Edit: have a look at this guide and this Aruba KB Article.

    Hi parnassus,

    Thanks for the quick reply. I have another question and I hope you can help us with this.

    We already have trunk links between the 2 switches,  can we use that as an ISC, main vlans and Peer Keep-alive link? or do we need to create another link for the ISC?

    Hi GSM, in a very similar thread here, Stanislav gave a good answer and he was faster than me (question: Is GSM really Atif Siddiqui? these threads look so similar...).
