As Peter suggested, please check the checkpoint feature (enabled by default). This should provide what you're looking for, as the latest change, if not save within the 5 minutes (default timer), will get saved by checkpoint.
If you're looking for a regular config backup to revert change made by mistake, NetEdit would be a great tool to use, as it stores all history.

Hi Peter
This link should meet your need : https://community.arubanetworks.com/community-home/digestviewer/viewthread?MID=22966

Checkpoint creation
Checkpoints can be created manually or automatically.
Manually created checkpoints: copy running checkpoint <checkpoint-name>
>>> Automatically created checkpoints: If you make changes to the configuration but do not save them, 5 minutes (configurable) after the last change, a checkpoint is created by the system. Its name will include date and time of the creation (CPC20180709164306).

Subject: ArubaOS-CX - Automatically Save Running Configuration
Hi,
Is there a way to automatically save the running configuration on ArubaOS-CX? For example, scheduling a job to execute a command every 15 minutes?
