    Hello All,

I hope all of you safe and doing well,

I have single ClearPass server. I have faced hardware issue on ClearPass server(v6.7), which is currently installed on VM server.
so we have decided will going to built and installed same version of ClearPass (6.7) on new VM hardware with same ip address and hostname. and restore all config backup, certificates for continue smooth operation.
    my queries is..
    1. will I required platform license for new CPPM VM server or I can use old platform license which I used for installation time.  (installation done in 2017)
    2. how many old insight & session data we can restore on new CPPM server.

If anyone have standard Aruba documents/link/suggestion for migration activity pls PM me

    Thanks in Adv.

I'd suggest that as part of this process you take a look at moving of 6.7, it's end-of-support in June this year. Suggest you spend time validating 6.9.x code base for your deployment.

    Yes, you'll need licenses
Insight/Session data can be restored if necessary.

    Hi Danny,

    Thanks for reply

At deployment stage (Year2017) we have purchased all from Aruba-HPE.
so can we use same platform and Access license on New CPPM?

where I get this license in ASP portal or I need to take license backup from CPPM itself ?

You'll need to co-ordinate with TAC in terms of the process to move licenses from one node to another.
