    I was trying to configure ClearPass with MD5 from Dell switch but it was continually failing:


    With an error:
    I wasted most of a day solving this.

    I problem is cause by the format of the RADIUS User-Name being sent by the Switch.

    It must send the Radius:IETF:User-Name in the format aaaabbbbcccc or AAAABBBBCCCC

    On DELL switches you can change the format using the command

    mab request format attribute 1 groupsize 12 separator - lowercase
