Access will still work, but if your license expires, you will be unable to make any configuration changes, service changes, or perform any upgrades.

Make sure you won't get into that situation of expired licenses and work with your Aruba partner to get the renewal process going. There might be an option to get temporary licenses if the renewal process takes too long.

BTW, license expiration is different from exceeding the license count (more users than licensed). If the license count is exceeded, the system will just work but start notifying, and to stay within the license agreement you should increase your license count.

@Herman Robers , Thanks for the information , Yes In our case "access license" is exceeded and we are already getting notification .Is there any possibility for the system to misbehave during this exceeded license count period and also we would like to know how long clearpass will work with the exceeded license count . Is there is any timeframe ?
Is there any chance to view the license consumption devices ?

You should arrange your licenses as soon as possible, as you may run without support and violate the licensing terms. If you exceed the platform capacity, you may run into performance issues.

There is a license report that you can create in Insight. Create a new report of type Licensing/License Usage, make sure you 'include raw data', and when you run that and download the report it has a csv with all details on clients counted.

If you are way over the license count that you expect, make sure that you have accounting enabled and working, as accounting can release a license on an accounting-stop event.
