    Hi

I am having extremely slow problems in my network, and I was able to follow on my HPE 1820 48 port switch, the Logs below:

    USL returned -6 while modifying 01: 00: 5e: 7f: ff: fb vid 1.
    USL returned -6 while modifying 01: 00: 5e: 7f: ff: fa vid 1.
    USL returned -6 while adding 01: 00: 5e: 00: 01: 3c vid 1.

I have already done a thorough search on the internet and did not get any solution, my Switch is with the latest version available 02.10.

    Hi,

This seems to be a hardware fault.

Replacement of the switch is required.

    Thanks!

this is disastrous, as this is the second Switch sent by HPE within the period of 1 month

By "seems", do you mean that it actually is a hardware issue (and replacement is required)?

I'm seeing the same log errors on my unit (running PT 2.11), and this thread is the only mention I could find of the problem.

Sim, a única forma foi a troca do Hardware junto ao suporte HPE, pois meu equipamento está com a garantia vitálicia.

Yes, the only way was to change the Hardware with the HPE support, as my equipment has the viticultural guarantee.

I was poster #4 in this thread, before it was archived and transferred to the Aruba ecosystem. I am adding to this thread, just to clear up any confusion it may have created.

The "USL returned -6..." errors described by the OP do indicate some kind of problem which requires replacement of the unit. My switch is currently in the process of being replaced. I was not told what the specific problem with the unit was, just that the switch is being replaced.

The unit being replaced was placed in service at the end of April in 2021, and my initial post here (on May 1) was my first observation of the issue. The problem seems to have gotten worse over time.
