I'm trying to backup FortiGate and FortiAnalyzer and Palo Alto from HPE IMC but can't  same to understand how to work, I read the post here and the administrator guide to how to create an adapter and sysOID file in IMC but can't understand what should be inside adapter file?

    Hello Mohammad,

If you want you can check the scrits for config backup  , there are some for PaloAlto
    C:\Program Files\iMC\server\conf\adapters\ICC\PaloAlto\PaloAltoCommon

All adapters are in the C:\Program Files\iMC\server\conf\adapters\ICC folder .

You also need to add the sysoid of your device in the adapter-index.xml to force the system to use the adapter.

Hope this helps you further .

    Hello Marina,

first, thank you for the replay.
    and sorry for late replaying.

yes, I see the in the administrator guide:
scripts for config backup, there are some for Palo Alto
    C:\Program Files\iMC\server\conf\adapters\ICC\PaloAlto\PaloAltoCommon

there are scripts for config backup but in IMC when I access the Palo Alto there is no option to backup the device ??

about sysoid there are many :

    which one i use?

    Thank you

    Hello Mohammad,

The sysoid  so called system oid is unique for your Palo Alto device model. It is how system defferentiate between different models of devices. When you descover the device in iMC you can see its sysoid on the device page - Resourse -devices and than click on this device to desplay its page.
