    Hi there

How can VSF link configure between primary and secondary core switch in the below topology?

Hello Adnan, the Aruba 8360 doesn't support VSF (Virtual Switching Framework) which is a switch virtualization technology, Aruba 8360 instead supports VSX (Virtual Switching eXtension) which is a clustering technology quite different by VSF. If apparently VSF seems like VSX (and vice-versa), both are technologically different.

The VSX Configuration Best Practices (for Aruba 6400, 8320, 8325, 8360, 8400) is available here.
The ArubaOS-CX 10.8 Virtual Switching eXtension (VSX) Guide (for Aruba 6400, 8320, 8325, 8360, 8400) is available here.

    Start from those documents.

Is there any document that Aruba 8360 doesn't support VSF? Just wanted to confirm nothing else. Appreciate your response as well.

Hello Adnan, VSF and VSX are mutually exclusive so the question should be instead: "Is there a document declaring that Aruba 8360 supports VSX?" if so, if indeed it supports VSX it can't concurrently support VSF.

    Aruba 8360 Datasheet
    Aruba 8360 QuickSpecs

Are you able to find references about Aruba 8360 is capable of supporting VSF?

Pay attention that the Aruba 8360 QuickSpecs still contains a very misleading sentence: "Designed using the best features of existing HA technologies such as Multichassis Link Aggregation (MC-LAG) and Virtual Switching Framework (VSF), Aruba VSX enables a distributed architecture that is highly available during upgrades or control plane events" a sentence which was never redacted for the VSF reference. OTOH it is quite easy to understand that coupling concepts like MC-LAG and VSF doesn't work (indeed VSF uses normal Port Trunking while VSX uses MC-LAG now known as VSX LAG)...so since MC-LAG (VSX LAG) is a feature of Aruba 8360 VSX that only reference about VSF in that sentence of Aruba 8360 QuickSpecs is indeed erroneous.

    Hi Davide,

Cleared my point. Really Appreciate your explanation.

    Hello

In a VSF stack all switches behave as one. Management and device control, network control, and routing are all centralized, one device acts as the stack's "management module". Forwarding is distributed and Link Aggregation is shared (member switches act like "line cards")

On the other hand, VSX only shares layer 2 Link Aggregation (in multi-chassis LAGs) and Active Gateway technology to provide redundant active-active uplinks for L2 access switches or stacks, mobility controllers, and servers. VSX management plane synchronization makes VSX simpler to configure and helps to achieve consistency across the VSX pair
