    Hello all,
I had my 2930M working on Aruba Central 2.5.2. When I tried to move it to the Internal instance, which is running 2.5.3, I started receive the following error message.

Device has failed to reach Activate server with error : SSL connect error

    --- begin terminal copy ---

    Aruba-2930M-24SR-PoEP# show activate provision

Configuration and Status - Activate Provision Service

    Activate Provision Service : Enabled
    Activate Server Address : devices-v2.arubanetworks.com
    Activation Key : Not Available
Time Sync Status : Time sync from NTP pool
    Activate DNS Lookup : Success
Proxy Server DNS Lookup : NA
    Activate Connection Status : Failure
Error Reason : Device has failed to reach Activate server
with error : SSL connect error
Override Default Config Check : Disabled

    --- end terminal copy ---

    How to get this solved?

    thank you

What version of OS are you running, make sure it is WC.16.04.0008 or later.

Did this ever get resolved? I'm having the same issue on my Aruba 2930F with OS WC.16.10.0016, it's stopping it talking back to Aruba Central

This can be a few things. Best is to reach out to TAC to find out what is the best solution in your case. Make at least sure that the switch can freely communicate to the internet (no SSL inspection proxy/firewall).

If you have urgent issues, always contact your Aruba partner, distributor, or Aruba TAC Support. Check https://www.arubanetworks.com/support-services/contact-support/ for how to contact Aruba TAC. Any opinions expressed here are solely my own and not necessarily that of Hewlett Packard Enterprise or Aruba Networks.

In case your problem is solved, please invest the time to post a follow-up with the information on how you solved it. Others can benefit from that.
