    Hello Everybody,

I have a strange behaviour with my lab environment (not productive):

    • 2x Mobility Master (L2 redundant, working s expected)
    • All licenses have been installed/activated and MM rebooted afterwards
    • Licenses are valid 'til May 2019
    • When I try to set license limit for a pool I get following message:
Can't find GSM license available count. Please add license at root first.
    • I can add MM licenses to a pool but no other license (AP count, PEFNG, MC-VA)
    • Deleting/re-creating a pool has no effect, issue happens on 8.2.1 and 8.3.0

Does anybody know this behaviour? Is this a special issue of licenses with expiring date? Our customers with permanent license never told me about such a behaviour.

    Hello Everybody,

I know some time has passed since the question was first created, but i just ran into this issue and this was the only result in google so I will add a response.

This seems to be a expected behaviour for evaluation licenses, to add an evaluation license to license-pool-profile the command is:

    • ap-licenses eval key <put license key here, you can get it from show license command, the evaluation key must have been first added to the device> 10 (this is the license count to be added to the pool profile btw)
    • rfp-licenses eval key <key> 10
    • pefng-licenses eval key <key> 10
    • mm-licenses eval key <key> 100
    • And so on.

    Hope that helps someone!

    Best Regards

    Luis Regis

This didn't work , I have the exact same problem as described.  Can't do it in GUI or CLI.

    ap-licenses eval key . . . . .    ended up getting 'mismatched key type'
    the key was associated with:
    Aruba Part Number : DEMO-AP
Description : Aruba Cntrlr Per AP Capacity Lic E-LTU

Are 'demo' licenses different than 'eval' ?

    Aruba Part Number : DEMO-AP
Description : Aruba Cntrlr Per AP Capacity Lic E-LTU

This still happens with an eval license now as well. I think it might have to do with changes to the eval licensing in ASP.
